Solastalgia 2048 - A Glimpse into the Post-Flood World of 2048

In 2048, the world is still reeling from "the Flood," a global catastrophe that fundamentally reshaped the planet and its inhabitants. Against this backdrop, artist and activist Pedro Valdjiu conceptualized the Solastalgia exhibition as a poignant reminder of the ongoing effects of climate change on future generations. The heart of the exhibition is the haunting images of children praying in flooded places, captured by award-winning Japanese photographer Yutaka Nakamura using advanced image generation software. Through this exhibition, Valdjiu invites us to reflect on the fragility of our planet and the urgent need for collective action to mitigate the worst impacts of environmental degradation.
